Code of Ethics

Code of Ethics

These are from NAEYC Code of Ethics. They represent what I feel is meaningful to me in my professional life.
  • I-1.3- To recognize and respect the unique qualities, abilities, and potential of each child. (Each child and person learn and receive information differently. It's what makes us different and unique. I love that each child has their own personality and characteristics. We need to build on each child's differences and foster their uniqueness. By doing so we foster their personality and tell them who they are is ok. Its how be nurture great kids. I work with 10 different kids and love each one of them for who they are individually, not who they are because they are the same, like another child.
  • I.1.5-To create and maintain safe and healthy settings that foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development and that respect their dignity and their contributions. I feel it is important for me to create an environment for young children that is safe and healthy for them. In that environment they can learn and development healthy social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills and habits. I want to create an environment that is positive for their development. That environment includes trust and balance for them and me.
  • I.1.9- To advocate for and ensure that all children including those with special needs, have access to the support services needed to be successful. As an educator and professional, I feel it is my job and duty to advocate for all children, including those and especially those with special needs to have the support services needed to be successful. I want the success of all children. By ensuring kids are successful, I will provide or ensure they have access to all resources and support services needed. I can not do it all alone and there for will need help. I will reach out to those who can help.
